October 10-14, 2011

Good job last week. This is the last week of our short story unit and then we move on to Fahrenheit 451. Remember, we are shifting to reading more at home. Some of the "There Will Come Soft Rain" scores reflect that you need to be a little more disciplined to get your work done at home. On that note, progress reports will be sent out Tuesday. If you like what you see, keep it up. If you want to make an improvement, come talk to me. It is still  earlier enough in the semester for you to get the grade you want. Some important things to note:

  • Quiz on thesis statements Tuesday (20 points)
  • Flash cards due Wednesday (20 points)
  • Quiz on essay terminology Wednesday (20 points)
  • You will have an introduction paragraph due Thursday and the final draft due Friday (50 points total)
  • Vocabulary and "The Pedestrian" test on Friday (50 points each)
  • Notebooks will be collected FRIDAY!
